Community Workshops
Role: Event Manager + Creative Director + Curator

Since 2023, I’ve hosted a series of dynamic community workshops through thems. phoenix, creating a rare and affirming space for queer artists in Phoenix and beyond. These workshops—spanning poetry, illustration, floral design, painting, and more—are led by talented LGBTQ+ artists from Phoenix and Tucson, offering opportunities to share their craft while building meaningful connections within the community.

At the heart of this work is a commitment to equity -powered entirely by ticket sales, over 50% of proceeds go directly back to the artists, providing sustainable income and supporting the broader arts and culture scene in Arizona. Each workshop centers visual storytelling by and for the LGBTQ+ community—grounded in joy, visibility, and collective care.

Past artist collaborators include Jose Villalobos, Omar Soto, and more.

Sunday Sips

Community Workshop
Role: Event Manager + Creative Director + Curator

Sunday Sips is an ongoing series of community-led, queer-centered art workshops I’ve curated as part of the broader thems. phx programming. Hosted in local coffee shops across Phoenix, these gatherings offer a warm and welcoming space for LGBTQ+ folks to connect over casual drinks and hands-on creative activities.

Each month features a new art medium—such as illustration, collage, printmaking or painting—taught by local queer artists. Rooted in accessibility, joy, and community-building. It’s a celebration of queer creativity in everyday spaces—intimate, affirming, and proudly local.
