Fruity Poetry Night is a monthly celebration of queer voices in Arizona's literary arts scene. Hosted by thems. phx, this event invites local LGBTQIA+ poets and writers to share original work in a space rooted in joy, softness, and collective expression.

Designed as both a performance and a gathering, Fruity Poetry Night blends spoken word and short story telling to create an evening that is as cathartic as it is celebratory. The event centers queer voices — from the deeply personal to the playfully political — and cultivates a supportive environment where artists and audiences alike can show up in full color.

With past collaborators including Phoenix Art Museum, AZ Opera, The McKinley Club, Trans Queer Pueblo, ASU Black Trans Futurities Summit and more, Fruity Poetry Night is part of thems. phx’s ongoing mission to nurture queer creativity through accessible, community-focused programming.
